Süddeutsche Zeitung - Alcohol
Illustration series for the New Year's Eve edition of German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung. Its special feature "Buch Zwei" revolved around alcohol and how thoroughly it permeates social life in Germany - but also how young people seem to develop an increasingly critical attitude towards it. The idea was to depict drinks, which are symbolic for various every-day situations that involve alcohol. The style was to be reminiscent of a drink menu from the 1950s, the heyday of uncritical alcohol consumption.
